Phase IV of the Economic Reporting Format (ERF) and Standard Chart of Accounts (SCOA) training has been rolled out as joint and collaborative project between the Public Administration and Leadership and Management Academy (PALAMA) and the National Treasury and details of the course may be found in the attached brochures.

Please note that the programme for the Introduction to the ERF and SCOA which were rolled out in Phase III has now split into three different training programmes aiming at different target audiences:

a) ERF and SCOA for Budget Managers and Non-Financial officials
b) ERF and SCOA for Practitioners
c) ERF and SCOA for Practitioners Advanced

The practitioners advanced programme is only scheduled for roll out in the 2011/12 financial year (more details and a brochure will be communicated at a later stage).

Departments are advised not to resend candidates for programmes mentioned in (a) and (b) above if they have successfully completed the programme as part of the phase III roll out. These candidates will ultimately register for programme (c) above once it is ready for roll out. Departments may resend candidates for programmes (a) and (b) above if they have not successfully completed these programmes and fund it from departmental own training budgets.
